The Office of the Crime Detachment, Palakkad re-designated as District Crime Branch Palakkad vide G.O. MS. 124/2014/Home Dtd. 17.06.2014 and PHQ Reference Letter No. S1/30664 Dtd. 21.08.2016 and No. A3/10451/2013/P Dtd. 24.10.2016 of District Police Chief, Palakkad.

The Office of the Crime Detachment Palakkad is Situated at District Police Office Annex, Palakkad .The District Crime Branch, Palakkad is entrusted with the investigation of sensational cases reported from the district or those cases in which allegation have risen by the parties concerned about investigation carried out by the Local Police Station. The Deputy Superintendant of Police is being investigated 16 sensational cases which were transferred from various Police Stations in the district at present.
